Transparency about tracking

Cookie Policy

The cookies and similar technologies we use on partyideas.holiday, what they do, and how to control them.

Last updated: May 2026. This Cookie Policy explains how Polaris Nexus LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on partyideas.holiday (the “Site”). It complements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information in general.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit it. They let the site remember your actions and preferences over time, such as your login, your cart contents, your language, or whether you’ve already accepted this cookie banner. Similar technologies (like local storage, session storage, and tracking pixels) work in comparable ways, and we treat them under this policy as if they were cookies.

Cookies set by the website you’re visiting are called first‑party cookies. Cookies set by another company through that site (for example, a payment processor or an anti‑bot service) are called third‑party cookies.

How we use cookies

We use a deliberately small number of cookies. They fall into four categories:

  • Strictly necessary cookies. Keep the Site working: your login session, your shopping cart, your cookie consent choice, and basic security. These cannot be turned off because the Site won’t work properly without them.
  • Functional cookies. Remember choices that make your experience smoother, such as recently viewed items or your preferred view of a page.
  • Security and anti‑abuse cookies. Help us tell humans from bots and block automated abuse of our forms and login.
  • Payment cookies. Set by our payment processor at checkout to protect against fraud and to keep your payment session working.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross‑site tracking. We do not have Meta Pixel, Google Ads tags, TikTok Pixel, or similar tools on the Site, and we do not allow third parties to set advertising cookies through us.

Cookies we actually set

Below is the list of cookies and similar technologies the Site uses. Exact cookie names can change when WordPress, WooCommerce, or our service providers update their software; the table reflects what’s in place today.

wordpress_logged_in_* partyideas.holiday (WordPress) Keeps you logged in to your account. Session or up to 14 days if you choose “remember me” Strictly necessary
wp‑settings‑*, wp‑settings‑time‑* partyideas.holiday (WordPress) Stores admin display preferences for logged‑in users. Up to 12 months Functional

wp_woocommerce_session_* partyideas.holiday (WooCommerce) Holds a unique cart and checkout session for you. Up to 2 days Strictly necessary
_GRECAPTCHA Google (recaptcha.net / google.com) Lets Google reCAPTCHA tell humans from bots on our forms and login. Up to 6 months Security / anti‑abuse
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid Stripe Fraud prevention on the checkout page. Only set when you reach checkout and only once Stripe is active in our shop. __stripe_sid: 30 minutes · __stripe_mid: 1 year Payment

We also use Google Search Console to measure how the Site performs in Google Search. Google Search Console works server‑side, on the data Google already holds about searches, and does not set cookies on your device through our Site.

Third‑party cookies

The only third parties that set cookies through the Site are Google (via reCAPTCHA) and, at checkout, Stripe. Both serve specific purposes (protecting our forms from automated abuse, and processing payments securely) and operate under their own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to read:

We do not have a contractual relationship with any advertising network, data broker, or social network that involves placing cookies through the Site.

How to control cookies

There are two places where you can manage cookies on the Site:

1. Our cookie banner. The first time you visit the Site, you’ll see a banner that lets you accept, reject, or customize non‑essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clicking the privacy settings link in the footer. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be turned off through the banner because the Site won’t work properly without them.

2. Your browser. Every modern browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies. Instructions for the most common ones:

If you block all cookies, parts of the Site may stop working: in particular, you won’t be able to log in, keep items in your cart, or complete a purchase.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no universal standard for how websites should respond to DNT, so we do not currently respond to it. We do honor recognized opt‑out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) for residents of California and other states where it is legally required, as an opt‑out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising, this signal does not change much in practice, but we respect it.

Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add a new tool or change a service provider. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above. If the change is material, we’ll let you know in a more visible way (for example by re‑displaying the cookie banner).
